I've been threatening to start this blog for awhile, so New Year's seemed a good time to finally give myself over to the blogosphere. For more about me, check out my bio; here's the short version:
I like science.
I like film & theatre.
I like thinking about what things might be like 10, 20, 100 years from now.
I'd love to go to the moon, but I worry about being claustrophobic in the suits.
I hope I'm here when the aliens finally make contact.
I find it more than slightly fitting that I got my SAG card on a Star Trek film.
I actually read the instruction manuals on my consumer electronics gadgets because I like knowing how things work.
Plus, I'm a TV junkie. Just subscribed to Netflix. Very dangerous.
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert on any of the sciences and I don't expect to post breaking news here. There are other, better places for that. But hopefully this will be a place for questions to be raised and ideas to percolate. It'll be a mix of geeky & artsy, and hopefully I'll be able to point you to some fun things to watch. Thanks for joining me.
Another disclaimer: I'm new to this, so still learning all the rules/niceties about quoting from other sources, linking, etc, not to mention how it all works technically. I'm highly sensitive to copyright issues, so if I do something I shouldn't, please email me and (nicely) tell me so. I'm learning as I go...
