The Alliance for Climate Protection, Al Gore's environmental group, is sponsoring a contest to create ads explaining global warming and urging taking action. A panel of activists, scientists & celebs including Cameron Diaz, George Clooney and Orlando Bloom will judge the "eco-spots," which are due by September 12th. Definitely one of the hotter judging panels around...
For contest rules: www.current.tv/ecospot. The first place winner gets a Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
For an example of the kind of spot they love, check out Black Balloons, a 45-second Aussie spot that shows how normal household activities like brewing coffee or refrigeration contribute to global warming because they are powered by the burning of fossil fuels.
Hey there Tamara!
Hope all's great for you. Hey -- I wrote about this Current TV competition on my blog, too. Great minds! :^) I found your profile on LinkedIn and I'm going to ping you there, too.
Very best wishes -- Roger D.
