Argh! So frustrated that once again I'm going to miss the Jet Propulsion Lab Open House! I've been trying to make it to this event for the past several years, but each time something conspires against me. This year it's a trip home to the east coast. Here's the skinny from their Facebook event page in case you happen to be in Southern California:
The annual NASA-JPL Open House is the one weekend a year that you can
come to view all our missions and projects, and talk to the scientists
and engineers working on them! Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, from
9am to 5pm both days.
Additional information, plus videos and photos from previous years: http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/events/open-house.cfm .
Can't come in person? Join our virtual open house tour over Ustream.tv on Saturday May 2. Go to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/nasajpl at 10, 11, noon and 1pm PDT for a 20-minute tour stop at different locations.
Are you on Twitter? Follow @NASAJPL and use hashtag #JPLOpen on May 2 and 3. We'll have prizes to give away to followers!
If you plan to attend, wear comfortable shoes and pack a water bottle. Arrive early for best parking and to avoid long lines at some of the more popular exhibits.
